This past weekend was a delight for the senses and the lenses!
Katelyn and I loaded up in our Mini-Cooper, navigated the Bay bridges and headed up the 101 to Sonoma County where our friends treated us to an amazing weekend.
And the gardner in me was in garden heaven!
Rise and Shine--somehow we all left the house at 5:00 a.m. and took in a Balloon Festival.....thank goodness I have a nice camera!
Old friends reunited and now off to college!
Joe and Ruth are the ultimate host and hostess. We were treated royally and as a bonus, Ruth is an amazing photographer so Joe is uber-patient with our need to "focus" on everything! (Plus he was our designated driver and designated credit card for the weekend)
A trip to a small Redwood forest was one of the highlights of the day...how on earth did I miss this when I lived there for almost two years!!
There is simply no possible way to ever capture the grandeur of a Redwood except to stand underneath it and look straight up!
It was a weekend straight out of Sunset magazine!
